Maison Sky – Incline

Although this is just the A side, it’s more than enough to whet your appetite for Maison Sky’s full EP “Incline/Wallflower”, due out August 17th on Breach’s Naked Naked label.

Not many producers choose to keep a track going for upwards of eight minutes, but “Incline” is so dynamically layered and entrancing that it expands the listener’s attention. We hear first the lone drum beat, the crackle of a record player; then surging basslines, hissing snares, a delicate smattering of bell tones, and indecipherable vocal touches.

The impressive sonic landscape of “Incline” leaves us wondering about its other half. The B side consists of “Wallflower” and an alternate version of “Wallflower”, which is available only on the digital copy.

With past releases on Toolroom, Rinse, and Mak & Pasteman’s Materials imprint, this up-and-coming West London duo will no doubt continue making a name for themselves among the best in UK house.
