LA based RNB vocalist, Gallant, found his way into my feed this week with his new heart wrenching cover of Foo Fights 90’s, “Learn to Fly.”

Following “Open Up,” and “Talking in Your Sleep,” “Learn to Fly” is powerfully rhythmic, soulful and an absolute must! Intermittent dynamic drumming woven in and out of a bare soundscape allows his vocals to stand out nicely. The vocal, “Looking to the sky to save me,” pitched down low and echoed absolutely grabs me.

Gallant is the second artist to sign to Mind of a Genius (first being ZHU) – so expect big things! If you’re lucky enough to be in the area, catch him at Neon Gold’s Pop Shop NYC June 11th.
