As time goes on, dance music genres continue to be blurred as producers are fusing their unique influences together in their own distinct fashion. Atlanta’s producer/DJ duo, Halogen, along with Chris & Janzen, seem to have done just that on their outstanding rendition of Borgeous & Shaun Frank‘s “This Could Be Love.” Riding a line between future house and progressive, the two groups have transformed the tune with heavy, driving grooves, piano chords, new synth elements, and an evolving arrangement  – all artfully woven together with peak-time energy. Halogen and Chris & Janzen have successfully merged two worlds to avoid being confined to any definitive genre characterization, which is an effort that even Oscar Wilde may commend as he’s known for his saying, “to define is to limit.”
