Hardstyle may take a hit at this years TomorrowWorld, the US edition of the hugely popular Tomorrowland festival in Belgium with word that the Q Dance stage is set to be downsized or in fact removed due to sound complaints.
The comment actually lands from underwhelming Hardstyle news source Hardstylez who took to Facebook to voice concern following a supposed official press meeting recently held in Atlanta, although seeming a little bit too vague/general for us.
Skimming replies it seems like hardstyle fans are obviously unhappy with the decision but do admit that last years TomorrowWorld Q-Dance stage was not as busy as the other main stages leading us to think it might be a financial decision on behalf of organisers, especially since the location of the event is outside of metropolitan areas.
Unsurprisingly Q-Dance might pull the plug entirely if they are forced to downsize and potentially lose their production integrity of which makes up a decent part of the experience – bummer.
Hardstyle is a genre that draws on influences from hard techno, hard house, hard trance, and hardcore while playing within the 130-150bpm. The scenes top players include Wildstylez, Toneshifterz, Noisecontrollers and more.
We have reached out to Q-Dance for comment.
