SFX’s Money Troubles Officially Cancel TomorrowWorld

It’s been officially announced that SFX Entertainment’s flagship EDM event has been cancelled due to troubles with the companies cash flow. After expanding quickly under the helm of music tycoon Robert Sillerman, the publicly traded company has been in trouble for months. After executing a diverse portfolio of intricately planned festivals, they obviously didn’t quite make enough cash to cover another year of steep DJ bookings.

In an announcement through TomorrowWorld’s Facebook page, the massive weekend festival announced that it wouldn’t continue this year due to their inability to provide the experience in the ‘current environment’ (of bankruptcy). As their parent company works to resolve their financial turmoil, this announcement follows recent news that Beatport will go up for action. Considering SFX controls a lion’s share of the American dance make, we can only hope things clear up quick.

Dear Friends,

It’s with a heavy heart that we inform you, TomorrowWorld will not take place in 2016. Unfortunately in the current environment, it is not possible to give you the best and unique experience you deserve.

We will miss seeing each other in September and experiencing the magic of TomorrowWorld as one. You, the People of Tomorrow, the foundation of TomorrowWorld, are our inspiration.

Let’s lock and cherish all the magnificent memories in our hearts, this is not farewell…

TomorrowWorld
