A few months after delivering an outstanding Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 since his last appearance on the show back in 1995, veteran house DJ Marc Kinchen – or MK – has just given Mixmag the exclusive of his remix of Lana Del Rey’s ‘West Coast’, forthcoming on Polydor. It follows his remix of Storm Queen’s ‘" target="_blank">Look Right Through’ which surprisingly yet deservedly hit #1 in the UK earlier this year, and while his take on Lana’s new melancholia is in slightly darker territory than his trademark piano house output, it still comes with that instantly recognisable MK stamp, falling perfectly in line with Lana’s soothing vocals.
