Housemeister has finally released his newest album today on Boysnoize Records titled OP-1. 

He grew up on the streets of techno Berlin and stands as one of the longest members of the BNR crew, having produced thirty vinyl records, four full-length albums, touring in over 50 countries worldwide and most recently is the label head and founder of his own imprint AYCB Records. This newest effort from the German was produced in hotel rooms and airplanes around the room – hence the names of the tracks – and was done with only the use of the OP-1 Instrument / Sequencer / Synthesizer – hence the LP title. While this would have inevitably caused some limitations, fans of Housemeister would appreciate the array of sounds he was able to make with it. Ranging from 115-132bpm, Beatport has labelled it ‘electronica’ – like it does for most things when they can’t be bothered figuring it out – despite it (mostly) being typical Berlin techno.
