Our writer Sandro Dallarmi recently got wired through to London for a chin wag with Howard Lawrence, one half of garage/house production duo Disclosure. Overall, the chat wasn’t as expansive as we’d hoped, but the least adventurous of our questions received the most intriguing answer.
When asked if Disclosure would be touring Australia soon, Howard responded with the following.
“Yeah, I think we’re back in September. I might be wrong about that, I’m not sure. But we’re definitely back this year anyway”.
Parklife festival usually kicks off a national tour each September, and we think Disclosure would fit quite nicely in any Parklife line-up. Adding credence to the rumour is the fact that Parklife’s promoters, Fuzzy, brought Disclosure to Australia in January for their other major annual event – Field Day. So we know the two parties have a relationship. It certainly wouldn’t be a stretch to bring the London-based duo back to the country so soon, with the release of their album imminent.
We’ve got all fingers, toes, eyes and arms crossed at Stoney Roads. Here’s hoping the rumour is true!
