American producer Machinedrum has announced he will be joining Ninja Tune Records as their newest member to their impressive collective of artists.
Machinedrum- or Travis Stewart if you prefer- has been in the electronic music scene for over 12 years, has produced for the likes of Azealia Banks and Theophilus London (not to mention a handful of his own albums and killer tracks). The label signing was announced by the North Carolina local via his Twitter page earlier today, as well as a personal recollection of Stewart’s teenhood and the influence Ninja Tune had on him .
Oh and btw I’m signed to mother fucking @ninjatunehq now ahhhhhhhhh

Stewart will be joining the likes of British producer/rapper Wiley, and has signed a four-album deal with exciting talk of the first LP dropping in the next few months after an interview with Billboard late last week. This is good news!
I remember listening to @ninjatunehq records in high school in the 90s and being so amazed at the possibilities for making electronic music
