Who said tech house has to be boring? Every once in a while there’s a tune that breaks the mold. This fine example is by the legendary Booka Shade, who present a truly beautiful blend of shuffling tech house and trancy, hypnotic synths. Spiced up with dreamy phasing, stuttering, and lots of tribal syncopation, this is one of the most unique tracks I’ve heard in a long time. The whole EP is available on Dim Mak Records with other tracks that are more straight-line, but equally mysterious and dreamy.
