Internet buzzards have jumped onto live recordings of The XX from their recent intimate London shows and uploaded the tracks “Closer”, “Friction”, “Strangers” and our favourite “Leave” to Youtube

Although the sounds are equivalent to a calculator recording a buzzsaw you can still make the the unmistakable vocals of Romy and Jamie XX plus all kinds of tropical infused steel drums and the like.

Fans will appreciate the familiar layered harmonies and pulsed beats giving the yet-to-be-named-album a real chance to top the 2009 ‘XX’ release.
