In Russia, Lucky gets YOU!
Let me tell you about the most important thing you missed during the Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Sochi if you didn’t watch it: The Russian Police Choir performing Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’. Perhaps the most awkward and hilarious cover ever, the 20 or 30-something piece choir with their Russian accents oh-so-obvious, go all out with their solo’s and back-up singing, casually dancing and having a joy time despite being dressed in their formal uniforms and getting lyrics wrong (pretty sure he says “what keeps the planets ringing?”) The bit where they do the robot voices is priceless and the old dude in the silver outfit – who’s apparently the conductor – has to be the funniest dancer on Earth. Also, look at the bloke on the far left in the moustache – stoked.
U.S. viewers can watch again on NBC, UK viewers can watch again on the BBC, or if those don’t work in your area, watch the video below. Fantastic.
