October 28 will mark the release of Om Unit‘s debut album (under this alias) titled ‘Threads’, and is a 15-track LP full of some of the wildest electronic beats this year. For good reason, too. He’s spent the past three years refining his unique sound with releases on Goldie’s Metalheadz, dBridge’s Exit Records, Plastician’s Terrorhythm, Civil Music and of course his own Cosmic Bridge imprint, and via collaborations with Machinedrum (as Dream Continuum on Planet Mu), Mark Pritchard, Kromestar, Fracture and Sam Binga and his short-lived, much hyped footwork-jungle side-gig Phillip D Kick, Om Unit has also remixed Joker, Reso, Kramphaft, Starkey, VIVEK, Foreign Beggars, Shigeto, Illum Sphere and more. The exciting thing about this, though, is that ‘Threads’ shows us the confluence of all these works in full flight.

Between ’04 and ’08 he released three records under the 2tall pseudonym, but his first Om Unit album features impressive collab work form Young Echo‘s MC Jabu, Jinadu, Gone The Hero and veteran London poet/musician Charlie Dark, and will be released on double-vinyl, CD and digital.
