Field Day 2014 Lineup Announce Here Shortly. Two Acts Confirmed Plus Rumours

Update: Field Day 2014 official lineup here

Field Day have confirmed two acts that’ll play the 2014 version of the highly popular New Years Day festival. It begun with a teaser video last week that included five clues as to who would be playing with guesses ranging from Julio Bashmore to Zola Jesus.

Late last night Fuzzy confirmed through the official Field Day Facebook page that indeed, two of our guesses were right with English indie-pop trio London Grammar and low slung bass producer Julio Bashmore both getting the thumbs up.

As of this morning, Russian monster Proxy shared that he’ll be back in territory ‘early 2014’ hinting that he indeed might be playing Field Day. Why? Proxy has both played the festival before and is a relatively consistent visitor courtesy of Fuzzys touring arm so his spot on the lineup following a US tour earlier this year makes a lot of sense.

Who else?

A few weeks back Food Music head honcho Shadow Child spilled in a RinseFM show and interview with one of our favourite local producers Motez that he’ll be here over here  during New Years and New Years Day giving us good reason to assume he’ll be playing either Fuzzy’s Shore Thing or more likely Field Day.

Taking a look around at similar festivals during the tail end of the year and it’s easy to spot a few reoccurring names, be it playing Origins NYE in Perth or Let Them Eat Cake down in Melbourne. Who can we spot that wouldn’t be out of place on the Field Day linep. Who? Try Rustie, Tokimonsta, Dusky, Flux Pavillion, Soul Clap and James Holden to name a few.

With names starting to be confirmed, hinted or rumoured we can’t help but think the next Field Day could one of the best. Full lineup lands at 2pm today.

Update: Fuzzy have added more names to their ‘Beachlife 2014’ festival in Surfers Paradise with Alvin Risk, What So Not, Jack Beats, Hermitude and Ta-Ku all looking to playing alongside headliner by Skrillex. Chances are a handful of these names will also play either Shore Thing or Field Day.
