Move over Flo Rida and Diplo, there’s a new plagiariser in town and her name is Katy Perry. Yep, the American singer/song writer has been swiftly accused by moombahton man Dillon Francis (who plays Big Day Out 2014) for her many comparative similarities in her new music video ‘Roar’ and a song released by him earlier this year on Mad Decent.
Damn first @official_flo steals @diplo‘s “butters theme” music idea now @katyperry steals my “messages” music video idea..What the fuck?

It seems the tall poppy syndrome of the pop industry has seen Katy Perry’s director blatantly copy the stylings of his video directed by King Drippa for the track ‘Messages’ that features Simon Lord on vocals. Francis’s Twitter says it all with the producer being somewhat pissed off but then after seeing perspective, realising the plagiarism is a form of flattery.
Legitimately this is so dope that @katyperry‘s director thought my video was good enough to rip off

The amount f$#Ks Perry probably gives is near zero with the new single ‘Roar’ hitting #1 IN 60 COUNTRIES. I REPEAT 60 COUNTRIES. On the flip Dillons too busy taking the piss out of DJ Mags Top 100 Poll and also named his collaborative project with Kill The Noise ‘Meowski666’, hilarious right?
