We spoke about this last week, and how grime seems to be at war with the genre’s most promising producers battling each other through their war dubs to see who can make the most vicious tune. Now, Sub FM mainstay Threnody has organised a round robin-type clash between some of the genre’s most promising new producers, including Rabit, Filter Dread, Breen, Dark0, Perth’s Mike Midnight, Epoch and Arctic.

Out of these, the exciting new development will work “with each producer given seven days to write a beat in their opponent’s style but at a level that they could never reach.” The tracks were then played on Sub FM with a winner picked from each match-up, and listeners can now vote for an overall winner from that 11.
