Sydney-based Annie Bass and Melbourne producer Christopher Port have teamed up for a 2-track EP aptly titled ‘Two-Track’.
Out via Future Classic/Pieater/Opulent, the project is home to tracks ‘Thrown Away’ and ‘Counting All’; two seemingly effortless cuts that flow naturally from one into the other. Chris Port does a meticulous job of recreating piano ballads dug up from the depths of ethereal singer Annie Bass, aka Annabel Weston, that sees a result he describes as “…the most truly collaborative music I’ve made to date.”
Annie Bass broke hearts and broke through 2017 with her record ‘Don’t Want’ and Port’s globally embraced EP, ‘Everything In Quotes’ “DARK” sees a the producer moving towards the UK garage scene and Melbourne’s own rising electronic scene. There’s no wonder the two are well recognised in the Australian music scene acclaimed by the likes of FBi Radio and Splendour In The Grass.
