Premiere: The Kite String Tangle gives Lastlings a powerful rework

Fresh off the back of his debut album, Danny Harley a.k.a The Kite String Tangle has delivered a blissful remix of Gold Coast duo Lastlings.

Keeping things aligned with his style of production, TKST has flipped his label-mates’ dreamy single ‘Urges’ into a luscious, bass-driven rework that gradually builds up before a synth-heavy climax. If nothing else, this remix comes as another prime example of why EXIST. Recordings are one of the most exciting labels out of Australia right now.

Speaking on his remix, TKST says “The latest LASTLINGS EP is a sophisticated cut of modern electronic music and so remixing their track ‘Urges’ was a no brainer. It’s one of my favourites on the EP, so when I got the chance to do my own thing with it I was pumped. I hope I added a new meaty twist to it and that they’re happy with it and everyone enjoys it”

Still relatively fresh on the scene, Lastlings have had a big 2017 thus far, releasing an impressive EP earlier in the year as well as supporting RUFUS DU SOL and The Jungle Giants on their respective Australian tours.

Listen to the Kite String Tangle’s remix of ‘Urges’ by Lastlings below and see what you think. You can catch Lastlings live in Sydney this Saturday night at The Lansdowne and peep TKST’s tour date below.
