Gromo – Selfish

One of the youngest DJ/producers to play Ultra Music Festival, Gromo (Brae Gromek), as a child would listen to his father’s eclectic music collection and analyze songs, breaking them down to their most basic elements; rhythm, melody, and harmony. Later, he picked up a guitar and emulated his musical heroes at the time – heavy metal bands. He eventually outgrew metal’s boundaries and attitudes and expanded his horizons to the world of electronic music. Despite this departure from metal, his edge carried through.

Gromo as returned with “Selfish,” his follow up to “Give Me.” “Selfish,” is soft hip-hop infused R&B record which takes elements from modern afro-beat music, and maniupulates it into an urban Electronic sound. His work and influences continue to evolve, in tandem with the ever-progressing music landscape. Check it out!
