This Documentary Sheds Light On Glasgow’s Underground Culture

Vice‘s i-D has put together a mini documentary series that reflects the networking and thriving music scene in Scotland’s illegal underground rave culture.

The 14-minute video follows young Glaswegians who share their thoughts on politics and the future of their nightlife.

‘We are reacting against normal life by having these parties, saying f*ck you to normal society and taking control into our hands’

This is the second instalment to their Global Street Style documentary series, where we see the team set foot into Glasgow to connect and converse with the young partygoers who are carving out the underground scene.

‘Discontent with the current political climate, they are artfully rebelling, reclaiming the city, and throwing illegal after-hours parties in office blocks, warehouses and abandoned spaces’ – i-D
