TC talks about his new album ‘Unleash The Wolves’ and gives away all stems!

D&B icon TC has absolutely smashed it out of the park with his new album ‘Unleash The Wolves’.

He was generous enough to give away all the parts of the album during his recent Reddit AMA, which you can read about here.

He also took the time to answer a few questions about the album, which you can listen to here, check it out below!

STONEY ROADS: What’s up TC! Congrats on the new album ‘Unleash The Wolves’, it’s super diverse. Care to share the thought process behind the album?

TC: Many thanks for your kind words! Unleash The Wolves is a bunch of tunes that were on the DJ circuit in mine and various peoples record boxes for quite some time. I had many fans asking after the records so some of the track listing was due to requests from fans for tunes to come out. Hence the title. I wanted to make a pure no compromise dnb album.

SR: You worked with a multitude of big names for the album, including Metrik and MC Jakes to name a few, how was that? How’d you bounce ideas off one another

TC: I really enjoy working with others making music, every person is different to work with. Metrik for example is like working with an empath, I have a thought for something I wanna change and he is already having the same idea. Working with Jakes is not really work at all just like hanging out with a good mate.

SR: You’ve had excellent feedback from the album over a number of platforms, with it going straight to the top ten dance albums on iTunes, and being hailed by Redbull as ‘one to move the scene forward’. How does this all feel?

TC: I always try and remember good praise, as an artist its very easy to get bogged down in watching the success of others you admire and not let yourself enjoy your own wins. It makes me feel good but mainly I just want people to listen to the music.

SR: What track are you most proud of and why?

TC: I really like 5 Eyes, there is just something I like about the flow of the structure and the whole journey of the track was an eye opener for me.

SR: Run us through a regular day for you whilst working on this project.

TC: Get up, drink coffee, go studio till I can’t go on any more, sleep. Repeat for a few months.

SR: What’s been your favourite venue that you’ve ever played at?

TC: Way too many to pick a fav sorry 🙂 so I’ll just say the last one at Beat Herder, it was a small festival vibe on a stage run by Utah Saints. The crowd were so good and even though it was muddy they were fully up for it.

SR: When did you first start producing?

TC: When I was 16 straight out of school.

SR: What’s your musical background?

TC: None, I just make music. I play piano and guitar enough to be able to lay down ideas and write a song.

SR: If you weren’t making music, what do you think you’d be doing?

TC: I don’t have a backup career so if it all goes down hill I guess I will be building labouring or something. If I had not done music I think I would be doing Film or Theatre in some capacity.

SR: What are your hobbies outside of producing?

TC: Time for me is so precious. Like this week I have a couple days to chill and I’m off to the US for a 3 week tour. All of my free time is down time. In what free time I have I like to learn about other music and research things like spirituality, civil rights and pretty much anything but I would be kidding myself if I was saying it was not research for music. I also enjoy walking my dog.

SR: Lastly, what’s next on the agenda for you?

TC: 2 more EP’s before the year is out and then Album 3 next year.
