Canberra group SAFIA have been non-stop recently. Just last week releasing the video for their latest single ‘Make Them Wheels Roll’, having a hardcore fan streak for them at two of their Groovin The Moo appearances, and announcing a tour for next month, it’s been going off. Today sees even more SAFIA, this time with a little bit of Hayden James thrown in for good measure.

Though it was almost a year ago that their single ‘Embracing Me’ got released, Hayden James has today put his own spin on it, with a remix that does the original complete justice. Keeping the original beat and funky guitar work, James adds in a whole bunch of pulsating synths, and chops and screws SAFIA’s original vocals against a new, ethereal choir. It works perfectly, and keeps the groove of the original without sounding all too similar.

Days and releases like this are just making SAFIA’s ‘M.T.W.R’ Tour even more of a must on your list of gigs for the year. Perth producer Lower Spectrum has just been announced as support for all shows, having just himself come off a co-headlining tour with Melbourne’s LUCIANBLOMKAMP.
