Hailing from Canada, Deamau5 prodigy “Eekkoo” adheres not to expectations with this gripping, somber and sultry edit of Jamie xx’s “Loud Spaces.” Jamie xx’s work would be daunting to edit indeed, yet Eekkoo rightfully fears no challenge with the confidence of multiple successful Maustrap releases under his belt. The steady beat will has a commanding tone and will leave you transfixed; as the lines between space and time blur and fold on one another. If I were ever left to watch a orchid blossom from it’s bud in slow-motion, this would be the track to accompany.
