Known best for their high energy sets and great sense of humour, Detroit Swindle are a sure fire favourite amongst house and techno fans. Hailing from Amsterdam, Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets’ rapid rise through the ranks has been fuelled by their soulful approach to house. Getting their start from a friend sending their demo to Huxley, Detroit Swindle’s name has erupted, achieving any producer’s bucket list in only a few years time.

Recently Detroit Swindle have started their own monthly mix series, starting in November, with track lists only being released once the next month’s mix has dropped. The January instalment, called ‘The Great Escape’ is yet to be track listed, but I have an inkling that the February edition will drop very soon, maybe even while the boys are in Australia.

They’ve also popped up previews of their latest ‘The Punch Drunk’ EP that combines all the killer characteristics of the Netherlands duo.

They play a string of shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, all of which are bound to have the distinct Detroit Swindle quirks which will make them a great night out with even better music.
