This week, a video about how MDMA affects the brain has been doing the rounds on the Internet. So naturally we had a look . Turns out that the company behind it, ASAP Science, have a whole range of similar videos that are short, succinct and really easy to understand.  Considering their videos have reached up to  five or six million views I’m probably quite late to the table, but they’re worth a share nonetheless.

This a really great series. There’s tonnes of videos to watch, and they’re clearly designed to appeal to people of all ages. It asks questions you KNOW you want answered, and talks about things you probably never even thought to learn about scientifically. Topics include ">pornography addiction, ">orgasms, -3nyi_tk2BudLUzA">depression, &list=UUC552Sd-3nyi_tk2BudLUzA">love, ">sleep, ">cats and yes, even ">poo.

Okay, so it is a little strange to watch videos about MDMA, marijuana and more depicted by almost cartoonish drawings on a classroom whiteboard, but you can’t deny how accessible it is. Well, as accessible as neuroscience can be. It’s informative and educational, free from judgement, and probably totally ideal to show to high school kids who are starting to learn about, or even experiment with drugs.

These are all around three minutes or less, and really worth a watch. I mean, if you’re going to use something, you may as well know how it actually affects you, right?
