Dusky, Optimo, Pachanga Boys, Oneohtrix Point Never, Ten Walls, Tangerine Dream and many more to play Melbourne Music Week

I don’t know if you’ve had a look at the lineup for Melbourne Music Week, if you haven’t prepare for your legs to involuntarily wiggle a bit. From Architecture in Helsinki, Midnight Juggernauts, Cut Copy, Oneohtrix Point Never, Tangerine Dream, Ten Walls, Guerre, to Underground Resistance… I’ve actually passed out typing all that. But really, what the hell are you doing if you aren’t going to Melbourne Music Week?

Here’s what not to miss:

Optimo + Pachanga Boys, November 19

Glasgow’s finest exports Optimo (JD Twitch and JG Wilkes) will join modern day techno connoisseurs, Pachanga Boys in a night not to forget. Held at the Gueen Victoria Market from 7pm, your favourite fruit stalls will be turned into laser laden monsters for a few hours of hard hitting techno.

Oneohtrix Point Never + Robin Fox + S I M U L Æ ++, November 21

The mere thought of seeing Oneohtrix Point Never within the stalls of Queen Vic Market is somewhere between absolutely frightening and absolutely exciting beyond comprehension. Joining OPN will be Robin Fox presenting his brand new show, RGB and S I M U L Æ++, the formalisation of a collective of DJs and musicians from Melbourne, Moscow, Iceland and Paris.

Underground Resistance presents Timeline, November 18

Timeline has taken on many forms and most recently as the linking of Underground Resistance founder Mad Mike with Jon Dixon and De’Sean Jones. Joined by Mark Flash, the result is a fusion of jazz and techno that is sure to confuse and caress the mind of Melbourne UR fans.

Tickets

Tangerine Dream + Black Cab, November 16

German electronic music pioneers, Tangerine Dream, will play the ten thousand pipes of the Melbourne Town Hall Grand Organ for a truly unmissable sonic experience. Finding their way to my heart through The OC, Tangerine Dream will be a truly incredible experience.
