Ultra Music Festival looks to move it’s flagship Miami event into a 18+ festival with promotional material about up-coming ticket sales handed out at Electric Zoo over the weekend advising the change.
“the safety and security of our attendees, artists/performers, and personnel are out utmost priority and concern.” alongside a clearly printed 18+ symbol seen below.
Although there hasn’t been an official comment from Ultra yet the decision seems like a wise one to protect younger fans.
Understandably mingling “teenagers” with “adults” in an environment that at times sees alcohol & drug use as well as the liberal use of clothing is at times a dangerous melting pot that could lead to any number of health issues.
Surprisingly they are one of the last festivals to move their format to a strictly 18+ stance with Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and HARD Summer all promoting theirs as such.
Should all festivals be 18+ to protect younger attendees?
