Will Eastman – 4 A.M. Eternal Mix II

Will Eastman header

Washington DC- based Dj, producer, and club owner Will Eastman is certainly a master of all trades. As a dance titan in the US capitol, Will has brought funk-infused techno to the most sought after US dance floors for over 15 years. When approached to showcase his latest mix, our response was an unaltered yes. His Dj-founded nightclub U Street Music hall isn’t too shabby either, being named in the top 10 US dance clubs by Rolling Stone. Overall Will is one of those guys who have generally excelled at living a live surrounded by dance music and it’s culture.

No stranger to closing the night out both behind the decks and on the dance floor, Eastman’s latest mix series highlights those moments of extreme euphoria after a night of groove. As creatures of the night, dance fans often find ourselves walking on sunshise long after the sun set. Made up of classic closers, part 2 of Will’s 4 A.M. series works for us really anytime.

“Years ago, I made a crate for ‘Last song of the night’ tracks to use to close out my sets. As time passed, this genre tag has become the playlist I go back to over and over again to listen to on my iPod. The songs I tag as LSOTN are my favorite tracks, perfect for a 4 a.m. vibe; perfect for going out into the streets in bliss after a great night out. I’ve had the idea to do a mix series called ‘4 a.m. Eternal’, riffing off KLF, for years and now that I finally tried it I’m really happy with the results. These are my favorite tracks, perfect for an after hours set whether you’re raging or chillin.”

Once you’ve had a taste for yourself you will know why you need to keep tabs on this dance incubators projects and music. You probably have heard, but next time your anywhere close to the DC area U Street Music Hall is one place that must be included in your tourist travels.
