Mysterious Producer ZHU Teases Australian Tour

If you haven’t heard ZHUs breakout originals “Superfriends”, “Faded” or that ridiculously fresh Outkast cover you’ve probably been living under a rock… but no issue there as the US producer who has kept his profile on the way down low has teased us with word of an Australian tour.

Speaking with Lewi McKirdy of national youth radio station Triple J yesterday he hinted that before the years out we’ll more than likely catch him downunder, citing Aus as the first to help break him;

“We’ll be over there, I can’t say when, but we will be over there this year at some point. I’m very excited; it’s kind of another home (away) from home because you guys were the first to embrace it.”

Thankfully word has it he’ll be here earlier than we think with sources pointing to July as a good time to catch him live. Live? Yep, inside word has it, it won’t only be a DJ set but a full-blown visual extravaganza.

Interestingly enough ZHU mentioned that the interview might be the first, and last in order to keep the focus on the music and away from the person behind it all;

“Whether it’s anonymous or not anonymous, we’re going to definitely bring a great experience,” he said. “Whatever complements the music, you know people definitely see fog in this music and see smoke. We’ll definitely be aware to make sure every sense is getting touched during the show.”

The Australian tour heralds his unique wash of future beats and the release of his ‘Nightday’ EP out on Mind of a Genius, the brand spanking new label pushing him.
