If I’m going to be honest, I’m not a particularly huge fan of Kelis or Actress. They’re both quite good at what they do and sure, Actress has managed to put out some amazing tracks in his time but what caught my attention was this remix.

I haven’t listened to Kelis’ new album, Food yet but the more I listen to Actress’ remix of Rumble, the more I want to. It’s dark and delicate and grabs your attention as soon as the vocal drops. The very first time, I was taken aback, Kelis’ raspy voice bangs against Actress’ slick techno beat and it’s hard to get enough of. I’ve been listening to it on repeat for the last half an hour and I don’t want to stop. Sweet and alluring nuances make this track into what it is and despite Kelis’ seemingly poor reception on her new album, I’ll give it a consolatory spin.
