The Chestplate boss Distance has just returned with a steely brace of halfstep dreadnaughts for his own imprint. Anyone familiar with dubstep and especially Chestplate – who have recently released tunes from the likes of Sleeper, District and Tunnidge – will know that all four stompers on this release are pure war riddims with slavering bass and a skanking 140 hit, however ‘System Reset’ (below) is a very canny halfstep D&B surprise, working close to Amit or dBridge styles, and possibly hinting at things to come.
