Sad news as Australian indie-dance duo Parachute Youth who were behind one of the biggest hits of 2011-2012 “Can’t Get Better Than This” have pulled the pin on their production and any future live performances.
Johnny and Matt shared on Twitter that they would not pursue the project any further and reminded fans not to purchase any tickets for future shows as they would not be performing (heavy).
The news comes at a strange junction for the pair with the release of their latest single “Runaway” only having just been dropped in December while their solo projects Yeah Boy and Matt Kvon both earned releases at the tail end of the year – were they living in a nightmare?
Matt and John are no longer pursuing Parachute Youth and no further shows will be performed as Parachute Youth.

Although not having played anything in the local scene since Splendour in the Grass and Parklife and making the move to London mid-2012 Parachute Youth enjoyed success in European markets with festival appearances and headline parties, they also managed to notch up an impressive 5,000,000 views on their debut video – not bad for an independent artist on local label Sweat It Out.
It’s rumoured that Johnny of Yeah Boy is actually working with Adelaide producer James Curd and possibly The Presets (new single here) which we’re looking forward to hearing.
We hope all the best for the boys in the future!
