xxyyxx has delivered a super trippy Laneway mixtape ahead of the national festival kicking off in Brisbane January 31st in Fortitude Valley, check the rest of the dates and set times here.

Although we aren’t sure to expect this to mirror what he’ll be playing on the day, the young Floridan resident has certainly spliced together a waft of eclectic beats that bounce between glitchy drum & bass, pitched oriental numbers and cosmic-vocoded-step.

It was only last week Marcel had to clear up the “secret behind his success”  after a fan accused him of not spilling details on his sudden rise to popularity since the release of his self titled LP, of which he gave a rather candid response.

xxyyxx is also playing two intimate sideshows, one in Melbourne Feb 4th at The Corner (tickets) and Sydney at The Standard Feb 6th (tickets) with special guest Wave Racer, who featured on our free compilation Stoney Roads – Volume One alongside Yahtzel, L D R U and Cosmo’s Midnight.
