Hedia – Wool [Unknown Tone]

I know Stoney Roads is a dance music website, but every now and then I come across downtempo, ambient electronica that is just too good to be shared. I posted the new Gradient release ‘Evening Becomes Night’ yesterday which featured some of the most relaxing dub-techno I’d heard in a long while, and Hedia‘s ‘Wool’ LP – while not being dub-techno by any stretch – is perfect to soothe and chill out to. The American musician takes on classical piano and reverbed synths for the most part, producing tunes up to 9 minutes long of just simple beautiful melodies. Take a listen below – don’t expect to play this before a night out, but I certainly recommend it late at night for either a midnight drive or just divine listening in bed.

Tracklist:
01. Waking Blind
02. Faintly, If At All
03. Whitetrees
04. Chandalier (Dream)
05. Wet Wool
06. A Mirror Of Faded Colours
07. Water Becoming Ice
08. Breath On Air
