Lancelot – You’ll Never Be Mine

Aside from King Arthur, everyone loves Lancelot. And this Lancelot is just another Knight sent from down under to save us all from the plague of EDM with feel good tunes. His name also happens to be Lance, so which makes his name choice clever and not at all cheesy.

Lancelot came out with some really dope Nu Disco material last year–“We Can Dance” and his Matt Corby remixes stand the test of time–and 2013 sees him adding a deep twist to the funk. His latest EP goes deep throughout. I can feel the sidechain just pulsating through my worn out Macbook speakers, which means this is some big room shit. I’m impartial to the flip-side, “The Way I Feel About You,” which has deep grooves for days and a really unexpected/welcome guitar (BASS) solo action that you don’t hear in this kind of music too often.

Both tunes are immediate adds to those deep house sets. Put on your armor and then get ready to take it off quickly, cause Calise’s about to exit the hot tub.

ps He also released a nice remix today…and gave it away:
