Passion Pit cancel half of tour and stream whole album

Passion Pit have had a topsy turvy 48 hour with the announcement that half their planned tour of America has been cancelled upsetting fans but then nullified by a full new album stream.

The announcement of their tour cancellation came via their Facebook stating;

“Hello all,

On behalf of the band and myself, I would like to greatly apologize for the show cancelations. In order for me to ensure that there will be no further disruptions, I am going to take the time to work on improving my mental health. For now, I’d like to thank all of our fans for their understanding. I hope to see all of you very soon in a much different light.

The tour page on our website currently reflects all upcoming tour dates.

With love,
Michael”

and the messages from fans came back in good taste with people offering support; “Come back stronger, Michael!”

The tour will now mean the following shows will and won’t take place (Don’t worry Aussie fans, they are still coming to Parklife!):

Jul 16 – Nashville, TN – Marathon Music Works
Jul 17 – Knoxville, TN – Valarium
Jul 19 – Charlotte, NC – The Fillmore
Jul 20 – Dover, DE – Firefly Music Festival

Their new album Gossamer which is the follow up to their 2009 album Manner is available for full streaming through NPR Radio and showcases the band’s signature electropop charm with a more hearty harder edged feel! Definitely worth a good listen!
