Micky Slim is on the comeback trail with a doozy of a track titled ‘Brass Rail’.
Out on Funk Farm Records Micky’s ‘Brass Rails’ EP also includes a remix by Millions Like Us and a second original titled ‘Niagra Falls’
This song returns Slim back to the days of fidget electro with a modern twist. He has used his signature fuck around with the vocals to create a really nice LFO wobble. Kind of reminds me a bit of his old school classic “wow“. My only Qualm with this EP is the cover that Funk Farm did for it. It deserves something more fun and colourful to match the style of the music. The visual looks too down the straight and narrow and can be deceiving. Small details count in creating big releases!
