A man who describes the music he make as ‘Cowboy surfin rockabilly gotham city bass music’ is pretty spot on in.
A bit of country and a bit of city bass influence is exactly what i hear when i listen to Drop the lime’s latest EP titled ‘hot as hell’. There is a distinct 1950’s jive influence gives this track a both uplifting / ear maifesting feel.
Keeping in mind the popularity of Yolanda Be Cool in previous article on this site, i feel its only appropriate to share their edit. I sense that Drop the Lime may have chosen Yolanda to edit this track because it shares the same light hearted (some could say mainstream) feel as ‘we no speak americano’. but i will let you decide.
