The latest musical offering released from J Beiber’s dabbling in the EDM field seems to be bearing some sneaky resemblance. Smashing out tunes every week from his ‘Music Mondays’ (an ambitious initiative from the Beibs to deliver a weekly torrent of tracks we luv 2 h8), the track of this Monday, ‘Roller Coaster’, has got us drawing lines to the iconic 2008 track ‘Panjoo’ from Eric Prydz.
Beibs, who produced the track with Rodney Jerkins (a regular contributor to the Beibs’ work – and has rubbed beats together with other *cough* more legitimate *cough* acts such as Michael Jackson, Destiny’s child and Whitney Houston) has made no reference to the use of the Prydz sample or any production credits whatsoever.
Always one to be chilling like a villain, Eric Prydz has responded to a Twitter fan whom stated that the fist shaking and the fury might be a bit uncalled for;
@BryceM88 a very very long one too.

Here at Stoney’s, however, we sustain our rage! This definitely has the blatant stench of rip off to us (an aroma somewhere between a Beliber frothing at the mouth and Lance Armstrong’s jock strap), and we just don’t think it’s good enough. The chord progression is a treasured staple of 2008 dance music, and it’s been gipped for a lowest common denominator tween muzak generator.
Listen for yourself, we guarantee that you’ll be burning your headphones and dacking Belieber’s in the name of proper music. Blurg.
