Watch the beautifully shot James Blake and Chance The Rappers “Life Round Here” (Remix) music video as the unusual pairing get around in a sweet vintage ride tracking “Blake and Chance as they cruise in a lowrider through an eerie forest inhabited by stallions and Somalian pirates.” – of course.
The video was shot entirely in black and white with the video’s award-winning director Nabil, telling “I love juxtapositions,” adding “so I thought I’d bring an old school lowrider to the countryside in England, and bring the two together in a way that makes people question things.”
Chanes take on things – “It was kinda scary for ‘Life Round Here’ cuz it was already a song that I knew and I was like ‘I don’t wanna f— it up’,” Chance said. “It actually went through a couple of changes. We started off with more of a croon than anything and James ended up chopping that and I ended up coming up with the verses on it now a little bit later.”
Those who want a dose of older James Blake can rewind and listen to his 2011 Essential Mix that he uploaded recently to Soundcloud or peep his new label with R&S Head Dan Float – 1800-Dinosaurs
