Watch Daft Punk’s New Video And Try To ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’

Daft Punk have unveiled the clip for ‘Lose Yourself To Dance‘, their second single from ‘Random Access Memories’ and their second collab with the ubiquitous Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.

The French duo gave a little taster of the clip at the VMA’s and we were relatively underwhelmed then, and we’re certainly underwhelmed now. The song implores the viewer to ‘Lose Yourself To Dance‘, yet the clip doesn’t inspire too much grooving. Instead, it seems like a fairly unimaginative remake of ‘Get Lucky’ with a little more saturation, a camera that revolves around a  precariously positioned pyramid, that the robots adorn, and some reluctantly enthused dancers trying to emulate the smooth cats from the ">Soul Train inspired fan vid. It’s most certainly a fairly lacklustre affair compared to classic clips such as ‘Da Funk’ and ‘Around The World’.

But hey, it’s a bloody catchy tune, and no one can question the duo’s brilliance. Nor can we knock the suave Pharrell;  not going to complain about seeing that kewl dude doing his thang for 4 minutes.
