Trance legend Paul Oakenfold has been tipped to play a private set at Stonehenge in September. Yes, THE Stonehenge.
We’ve seen him gig at a lot of iconic destinations, from The Great Wall of China to Mt Everest, but this one I’d argue, takes the cake. Oakenfold himself saying “The energy there will be like nowhere else on earth, and this will be reflected in my music and performance.”
The gig, which hasn’t been given a specified date just yet, is an invite only party with only 50 people being allowed to attend. It will however be recorded and released with all proceeds heading to English Heritage a charity that preserves historical sites.
We reckon this one could be on par or better with Solomun’s set for Cercle, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! Who would you like to see rock a sick set at a heritage site?
