Family Guy aired their mid-season 15 episode over the weekend, titled Peter’s Def Jam,
The episode takes a stab at DJ culture, focusing on Peter, Quagmire, Joe and Cleveland who tap into electronic music, start their own podcast and eventually score a gig at a local nightclub.
From here, the Family Guy writers do what they do best; they take the piss. Peter gets offered a headline spot at the Electric Clam Festival, due to the fact he has been playing “the exact same song for 14 hours. That means you’re great!”.
Peter’s response to this is simply:“I don’t know – someone gave me a pill and all I want to do is feel your jacket”.
From here, Peter goes on to perform at the festival by himself, but on the flipside, he becomes deaf. As you do.
