Sydney Lock Out Laws Pushed Back to Late April

Barry O’Farrell’s premier office has reported the new rushed and unthought through lock out laws designed by people over the age of 50 have been pushed back to late April.

– The laws will be reviewed after a period of two years.
– Venues can become exempt from the lockout and last drinks rules if they pay a fee and if there is a ‘’negligible risk of alcohol-related violence’’.
– From this weekend there will be eight-year mandatory minimum sentences for adults who commit an assault leading to death with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 (or three times the legal driving limit), effective this weekend.

To further add embarrassment to the new policy that effects the civil rights of this States botched ‘Democracy’, Police Minister Mike Gallacher in the Upper House, declared for all to hear, the live music scene is already dead.

Just one minor hiccup in that speech. He is an old alpha male and the only reason he would be up at 3am is to try to relieve his misfiring water works. A colloquial narrow minded comment that reflects badly on his personal brand and on how he ‘thinks’ things should be. Just ‘cos old mate Harley plays stuff that resembles a chipmunk to him and isn’t playing Flame Trees by Cold Chisel at the Beach Roads warrants live music being dead.

Can we set up a Democracy 101 class for the people leading our State?
