LA-based composer and experimental artist Tim Hecker has announced that his new record will drop on the 4th of April on 4AD. Titled ‘Love Streams’, the LP will be his first full-length since 2013’s Virgins.
The label says Love Streams follows the same “avant-classical orchestration and extreme electronic processing” of Virgins, but is “shaped into more melancholic, ultaviolet hues.” Heavily Inspired by 15th-century choral vocal scores, the new LP features keyboards, woodwind instruments and a choir. Love streams was recorded in the same Reykjavik studio in which Hecker recorded the majority of his last two albums.
