A couple of days ago, dubstep lord Skream released two songs for free on the Digital Soundboy imprint. The first track Mood to Funk focuses on his original musical influences – revisiting the days where he pretty much only produced 140, whereas Diam touches on what seems to be his new route lately, sorta disco house, weaving together airy synth leads, a healthy dose of bass and subtle 8-bit samples.
Both tunes are wicked; Mood to Funk does it for me though. Not too sure about the new direction/genre of interest. What do you reckon?
