Sydney’s Oxford Street scores new nightclub

The good news keeps coming with the announcement of Heaven Sydney, a ‘new sensory experience, music and performance’ queer space that has already locked down one famed Sunday night party.

It joins the news of a new one-day music festival for October curated by Astral People, the Marys Group (behind The Unicorn, Marys Underground and P&V wines) taking over Max Watts and the team at Oxford Art Factory running The Lansdowne. Oh, and also the much-needed return of the old World Bar site as Kings Cross Pavillion.

So what’s the latest on this new club? Well, for starters Heaven Sydney pops up at 169 Oxford Street which was up until around 2020 Miind Nightclub that promoted and ran mostly RnB and Hip Hop events. The new space boasts itself as a ‘Queer Pop Paradise’ and will feature a handful of bars as well as a new stomping void system installed by Buzz Speaker Hire who have been fitting out most of Sydneys club scene.

It looks like programming runs Friday and Saturday nights but will also launch a Sunday party with Pavlovabar which has been throwing one of the most consistent and best parties for over 7 years now. The launch party happens Sunday, August 28th with tickets at around $15 a pop with Fales Promise and Strict Face confirmed. Grab tickets here.
