IKEA is throwing a 24-hour virtual music festival this month

One thing is for sure, we’re currently living in strange strange times which is why the announcement of IKEA throwing a free 24-hour virtual music festival seems part and parcel of living in 2021!

It makes sense though, being stuck at home or spending extended amounts of time in and around your Tarva bed or Kungsfors kitchen shelves means we’re going to need some shots of serotonin to the system asap.

Why exactly is the Swedish meatball factory throwing a festival?

It’s simple, they’re looking to celebrate ”…the best of life at home with its first global 24-hour festival” adding it’ll feature ”Artists, designers, DJ’s, chefs, and many other talents who will turn their homes into virtual stages, opening the door to new experiences.” – how good!

They aren’t messing around either with a stacked lineup that’ll include Kaytranada, Masego, MØ, TOKiMONSTA and plenty more.

IKEA is really driving the home experience with artists streaming their sets from their own studios and homes that’ll likely be fitted out with a couple IKEA catalogue numbers no doubt.

The 24-hour virtual festival will be broken up into different ‘rooms’ or ‘channels’ you’ll be able to pick and choose from so plenty on offer.
