Netflix has answered the call for many with news they’ve introduced a shuffle feature dubbed ‘Play Something’ that’ll help make that evening choice a little easier.

With the onslaught of new content on streaming platforms, in particular, Netflix who’ve invested tens of millions into its own original content has come the predictable horror of choice paralysis.

Ask yourself, how much time have you spent just sifting through Netflix, dinner slowly cooling in front of you as you spend more and more searching for something to watch? Well, the good news is the ‘Play Something’ shuffle feature will do all the hard lifting for you moving forward.

According to Netflix the new feature will do a range of things based on an internal algorithm that figures out what you’ve watched before and might likely do moving forward. Handy!

If that’s not working for you, with one more click of a ‘Play Something Else’ button, Netflix will send your way;

• A brand new series or film,
• A series or film you’re already watching,
• A series or film on your list, or
• An unfinished series or film you may want to revisit.

We’re hoping the feature will be unbias when it comes to delivering you the goods and not too heavily leaning on Netflix original content which to be honest, has its fair share of ‘misses’ over the years.
