Mall Grab drops super heavy collaboration EP

One of Wollongong’s finest exports Mall Grab has surprised fans with a super heavy collaboration with, quite unusually, a Baltimore hardcore band called Turnstile.

It’s not something we expected when clicking on the ‘Share A View’ EP from the two but something we can definitely get around.

The three-track EP dubbed ‘Share A View’ isn’t necessarily a collaboration, but more deeply worked remixes of Turnstile’s original tunes “Real Thing,” “I Don’t Wanna Be Blind,” and “Generator” taken from their most recent album ‘Space & Time’.

The result is some brooding, heavily lathered techno sounds peppered with hardcore vocals, something we’d imagine going down just right post 4am on dance-floors anywhere in the world.

How’d it come about? Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates says, “This came to fruition by us just appreciating each other from afar. It feels refreshing to be able to share ideas like this together. All music is dance music.”

Something we’d entirely agree with, dive into the three-tracker below.
